Dear Students, Families, and Staff of Gilbert H. Hood Middle School,
We are thrilled to welcome you to an exciting new school year at Gilbert H. Hood Middle School! This year marks a significant transition as we become a dedicated 7th and 8th grade building, welcoming both students and staff from West Running Brook. We are now one unified school for all 7th and 8th graders in the Derry Cooperative School District.
We believe that when we are working together we can do great things, and that this can be accomplished through the power of collaboration and community. Together, we will create an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
I am eager to embark on this new chapter with you, along with Assistant Principals Jolene McWhirter and Melanie Curren. We have an exciting year ahead, filled with enriching activities, engaging projects, and opportunities for growth and success.
