I hope this message finds you well and that you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with quality time with family and friends. As we begin December, I look forward to the many festivities that this time of year brings. Thank you for your continued support of our school community.
Here’s just a couple items to share with you this week:
New Trimester - 12.02.2024
Trimester 2 begins on Monday, December 2. For many of our students, this means different Unified Arts classes. If your child is unsure of what classes they are scheduled for or where they are located in the building, please encourage them to ask their advisor during Morning Meeting.
Report Cards - 12.09.2024
Trimester 1 Learning Reports will be available on Monday, December 9.
PTA Reflections - due 12.06.2024 (flyer attached)
Hood Middle School is participating in the PTA Reflections program where students can showcase their creative side. This year the theme is "Accepting Imperfection". There are six art categories, dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Any student who participates will have their piece showcased at the Coffee Factory in December. The due date for entries is December 6. Music Concerts
Our Band and Chorus students will be performing their concerts during the week of December 16:

Music students will also perform music assemblies for all our students on Monday, December 16.

Crafts for a Cause - 12.07.2024
On December 7, Pinkerton Academy is hosting a holiday craft event, sponsored by their Astros United club. This event is targeted for middle and elementary school students. It is completely free. They plan to have holiday crafts, snacks, games, and will also be showing a movie. (Flyer attached.)
