We hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday break, filled with joy and happy moments together. As we welcome our students back to school tomorrow, we are excited to embark on this new year with fresh opportunities for learning and growth.

Reminder about Morning Drop-off Procedures
Recently, we have had a number of car drivers dropping students off along the roads leading to the school, instead of entering the school’s driveway. This not only creates a potential safety issue, but it causes confusion and frustration for other drivers. In addition, we have been asked by local authorities to keep the public roadways open and available to through traffic as much as possible.
As we start fresh for the new year, we would like to remind families of the procedures during school arrival. The main driveway entrance for morning drop-off is from Perley Road. The general flow of traffic is NE-WAY around the school, in a counter clockwise direction. Several staff members are stationed around the building to help facilitate a safe and efficient process. The arrival process begins at 7:10 a.m.
WHITEOUT Basketball Game - 01.21.2025
On Tuesday, January 21, 2025 the D2 Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball teams will be playing in a “Whiteout” game vs. Amherst Middle School. The idea is to have ALL Gilbert H. Hood Huskies Fans wear WHITE shirts to show support and unity for our basketball teams. Please see the attached flyer if you would like to purchase a t-shirt for this event. (Orders are due Wednesday, January 7.)
