Hello Gilbert H. Hood Families,

We hope you and your family have been able to enjoy the warmer weather this weekend (especially Saturday).  Spring officially begins this week!

Here are a couple items to share for the upcoming weeks:

American Red Cross Blood Drive - March 20

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in the GHH gym on Thursday, March 20, 3:00-7:00 pm.  Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: GILBERTHOOD to schedule an appointment.

World Down Syndrome Day - March 21

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March 21, wear colorful, mismatched socks! This simple act is a fun and meaningful way to show support and raise awareness for individuals with Down syndrome. Let's make this day vibrant and full of support. Remember, it's not just about wearing socks – it's about standing together to make the world a more inclusive place for everyone.

Report Cards - March 24

Trimester 2 Learning Reports will be available on Monday, March 24. An email will be sent when the reports are released.

Annual NH State Assessments - April

Students at GHHMS will be taking the NHSAS tests (state testing) on the following dates:

  • April 3 - Grade 8 only - Science

  • April 8 - Grades 7 & 8 - Reading

  • April 11 - Grades 7 & 8 - Writing

  • April 16 - Grades 7 & 8- Math

We understand illness and other circumstances happen, but it is important to have as many students as possible attend school, on time, on testing days.  If students are absent on testing days, they will be pulled from class at a later date to make-up the tests they missed.

We also ask that students have their computers charged and ready to use on testing days to make it easier for them to get started on time..

Pinkerton CTE Summer Camp

Career and Technical Education at Pinkerton is running several summer camps the week of June 23-26.  The program is open to students in grades 7-10 who are interested in participating in fun, hands on camps. Additional information can be found here:  link
