Hello Gilbert H. Hood Families,

As we “spring” through the final weeks of the school year, we have many activities, events, and celebrations planned.  At the same time, we still have a lot of learning to do.  We ask our families to join us in encouraging our students to stay focused and continue to put forth their best efforts.  Thank you in advance for your continued support.  Together we can do great things.

Here are a couple items to share for the upcoming weeks:

Message from the GHH PTSA

We are looking for someone to fulfill the role of PTA Treasurer for the upcoming school year.  This organization plays an important role is our school community, and we rely on these amazing, dedicated volunteers. Please consider stepping forward to help us do great things together.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the school office.

Lost and Found

A growing, unmanageable “Lost & Found” collection is located in the front hallway across from the office.  Over time it has become one huge messy pile of sweatshirts, jackets, and other  items.  If your child(ren) is missing such things, please encourage them to check the “Lost & Found” before Friday, April 25.  Any unclaimed items will be donated to local organizations over the upcoming school break.

Food Drive - April 1-22

The spring food drive for End 68 Hours of Hunger ends on Tuesday, April 22.  Students can drop off their donations with their advisor during Morning Meeting.  The team that collects the most donations will receive a special Kona Ice visit!  As of last Friday morning, Team 8-2 appears to be in the lead!!
