Hello Gilbert H. Hood Families,

We hope our staff and students are having an enjoyable break this week. School resumes on Monday, May 5.   The last couple months of the school year will be filled with lots of learning opportunities, as well as many end-of-year activities and celebrations.  We encourage our students to return after break with a goal to finish the school year strong!

Here are a couple items to share for the upcoming weeks:

Food Drive

GHH participated in the spring food drive for End 68 Hours of Hunger during the month of April.  We are grateful to all who contributed!  We are so moved by the generosity of our school community that we decided awarding just  one team was just not enough.  We are awarding TWO  teams–one seventh grade team and one eighth grade team with the most donations.  Congratulations to Team 7-1  and Team 8-2! Both these teams will receive a special Kona Ice visit.  Thank you to everyone who participated!
