Dear West Running Brook Families:
The winter weather continues! Although we had students prepared for a remote day, the district opted to make the first snow day a traditional one. In the case we have an emergency remote day, feel free to take a look at the planned schedule HERE.
On Wednesday we celebrated the 100th day of school. Many of our staff had fun things planned to celebrate the day!
REMINDER: EARLY RELEASE ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11. DISMISSAL BEGINS AT 11:45. Please note: After school clubs are not held on early release days therefore there is no Anime Club, Chess Club or Yo-Yo Club on this day.
Candy and Pencil Grams - One More Day!
Due to the snow day, Kids Care Club is extending sales of candy and pencil grams to Monday! Students can send a positive note to their friends and/or teachers! Candy grams cost $1.00 and Kids Care Club will deliver the grams to advisories on Feb 14.

Slime Night - 2/19/25
PTSA will host Slime Night on Wednesday, 2/19 from 6:00 - 8:00. Space will be limited. Keep your eyes open for a sign up in the coming days!

Pinkerton Strings Program
As an extension of the Summer Arts Camps that we ran this past July at Pinkerton Academy, we are inviting any interested students in grades 5-8 to join us for a free beginning and intermediate strings program. This program will be offered to any interested student on Friday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 in the Arts building at Pinkerton Academy. Please see here for more information.
Capital Improvement Public Forum
Join us for a Community Public Forum at West Running Brook Intermediate School on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at West Running Brook.
Families, staff, and community members are invited to join the Derry Cooperative School District School Board at one of two public forums to learn more about the school district's capital improvements bond. District administrators will present information regarding details of the bond, including proposed projects. Additional information regarding the district’s budget and teacher contract will also be provided. Attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions and voice comments.
