Dear West Running Brook Families:
We hope everyone had a wonderful week. We wrapped up our first week of NHSAS testing. Everyone was focused and worked hard. Members of our staff decorated the hallways and pods to make it a festive environment. Next week (Tuesday) grade five will be assessed in science. Everyone else gets a little break. Thank you to all students and staff for their hard work!
End 68 Hours of Hunger Spring Food Drive
Next week we begin collecting for the spring End 68 Hours of Hunger Food Drive. End 68 Hours of Hunger is a volunteer effort to combat the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some schoolchildren experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning. All donations go directly back to students in need right here in Derry, NH. Please see here for a list of suggested items. Items will be collected by house. Students should bring their donations to their pod. The winning house will receive an extra recess!

Spring is here - Dress Code Reminders
Spring has sprung! As the weather gets warmer, we are beginning to see different attire being worn by students. With that we wanted to provide a few reminders about appropriate dress for school. The full school board policy can be found here. Thank you in advance for your support!
Shorts should fall to mid thigh. Spandex shorts (Nike Pro, Cheerleading Shorts) should not be worn.
Shirts and tops must be at the minimum waist length.
Proper footwear is required to play on the playground and in Physical Education.
Reminder: We are seeing improvement in arrival, but we still continue to have many students tardy to school. Morning Meeting begins at 7:25. If you are dropping your child off later than that, they are missing out on this important time of day. We allow students in the building beginning at 7:45.
