March 28, 2025

Dear West Running Brook Families:

What an exciting week at WRB! Thank you to our Math Interventionist for organizing our March MATHness event over the last two weeks. Houses competed in a two-week math fact challenge to see which house could solve the most facts. Congratulations to RED HOUSE for winning the competition! They solved 288,000 math facts over the course of the last two weeks!

West Running Brook presented at this week’s School Board Meeting. We recognized our volunteers of the year, our PTSA Board: Kristyn Anderson, Kassia Tessier, Kimberly Young, Brooke Yonge and Carrie Sawyer. They have worked tirelessly to establish the WRBIS PTSA, leading successful fundraisers and organizing a variety of activities. We can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication!

In addition to recognizing our PTSA, Ms. Saranita and members of the fifth grade band spoke and performed for the School Board. They shared how CARES is incorporated into what they do in band each and every day. The group played amazingly well. Thank you to the following students for their performances: Brooke Paul, flute; Mackenzie Freeman, clarinet;

Sage Daniels, clarinet; Bradley Zoltko, clarinet; Jameson Norton, alto saxophone

Esther Restucci, alto saxophone; Dakota Cram, trumpet; Daphney Ware, trumpet; Maggie Ward, trumpet; Quinn Boucher, trombone; Owen Dickerson, trombone; Katie Grigg, percussion.

The NH State Assessment (NHSAS) begins on Wednesday, April 2. Please make sure devices are fully charged and children have their headphones

Spring is here - Dress Code Reminders

Spring has sprung! As the weather gets warmer, we are beginning to see different attire being worn by students. With that we wanted to provide a few reminders about appropriate dress for school. The full school board policy can be found here. Thank you in advance for your support!

Shorts should fall to mid thigh. Spandex shorts (Nike Pro, Cheerleading Shorts) should not be worn.

Shirts and tops must be at the minimum waist length.

Proper footwear is required to play on the playground and in Physical Education.

Reminder: We are seeing improvement in arrival, but we still continue to have many students tardy to school. Morning Meeting begins at 7:25. If you are dropping your child off later than that, they are missing out on this important time of day. We allow students in the building beginning at 7:45.
