The district's facilities management team developed the Facility Maintenance Plan to document the way the Derry Cooperative School District will maintain its buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and sanitary condition for its students and staff, and to protect the district's investment in its assets through sound maintenance procedures.
The district contracted with Lavallee Brensinger Architects to conduct a thorough assessment of the conditions of all nine of the district-owned buildings. This included a Facilities Assessment, an evaluation of the current conditions of the nine facilities, and a Long-Range Facility Plan, using the facilities assessment to identify both short-term and long-term actions to address all facility shortcomings, educational visioning for the future, and prioritizing items from the most pressing to those that can be addressed in future years.
The Derry Cooperative School District contracted with Jobin Construction Consultants to conduct a study on the cost of capital improvement projects to solve the top issues at each school. These projects would improve the facilities without educational visioning upgrades and without bringing the buildings back to like-new condition.
The district contracted with Gale Associates to perform evaluations of the building envelopes at Derry Village, South Range and West Running Brook. These evaluations focused on issues that were identified by the Lavallee Brensinger building assessments.

The district entered into an agreement with Honeywell in order to provide more efficiency to the heating, cooling, and overall air handling efforts of the district. Their services have saved the district millions of dollars in energy costs and their recommendations are valued for providing the most efficient resources for the district.
